Welcome to Riplington Parson Russell Terriers
*** NEWSFLASH - LATEST WINS***
April 2008
Brimpton Trust
(Sire: Jagen Johny Riplington Dam: Heythrop Trusty)
won first in Puppy Dog
and second in Minor Puppy Dog at National Terrier
(under Bryan Cadogan) this month.
Lots of Congratulations to Charlotte Slatter (his owner)
and Brim, especially as it was Brim's first show.
Also at the same show both Cola
(Alncroft Tribute to Riplington) and
her sister Sally (Alncroft Everlong)
continued their winning ways.
Cola won first in Novice Bitch
and Sally won first in Graduate Bitch.
At the Parson Russell Terrier Spring Open Show
on 12th April, judged by Ms Michelle Barnett,
Charlotte also handled Brim to 1st in Minor Puppy,
BDP and RBPIS.
What an amazing start to their show career together!
At WELKS Championship show we had a very successful day! Gwen Small was judging and awarded
Wicket 1st in Post Graduate Dog
Spinner 3rd in Limit Bitch
and Riplington Miss Hit (shown by Mr Shane Hughes)
a VHC in Post Graduate Bitch
However our big winner of the day
was Cola who not only won
1st in Post Graduate Bitch
but was awarded her first CC
and consequently was Best Bitch!
Brim (and Charlotte) also had another great day -
this time winning 1st in Puppy dog and Best Puppy Dog.
To complete the day Cola's brother,
Alncroft Hemlock at Morgandare came
1st in Junior dog for his owners Carol and Jess Lumbard. Congratulations to them.
Cola also did extremely well at the
show and was awarded 1st in
Junior Bitch and RBB.
March 2008
Congratulations to Carol and Jess Lumbard
who own Alncroft Hemlock at Morgandare,
(Cola's litter brother) who went Best Puppy in Breed
at Crufts under judge Mr Les Price.
Cola's other sister, Alncroft Everlong,
(owned by Kate Smith and Michaela Moon) came 2nd in puppy bitch, and Cola herself who came third in Yearling bitch so the whole litter had a successful day!
November 2007
Sadly we have lost Riplington Bumpy Rhodes
aged 13 and a half. He was a truly special character
- a loyal friend who will be very much missed.
Bumpy won our kennel's first ever CC in 1998 and will
live on through his progeny but will never be replaced.
September 2007
At Richmond Championship Show Alncroft Tribute to Riplington (NAF)(Cola) was awarded
Best Puppy in Breed
by Breed Specialist Mrs Jan Wood at her very first show.
Congratulations must also go to
Alncroft Hemlock - litter brother to Cola
who is owned by Jess Lumbard,
for winning best dog puppy at this show
August 2007
Congratulations to Kate and Michaela
for winning Best Puppy in Breed
under Mr John Bunting at the Scottish Kennel Club
with Alncroft Barberry (Syd - litter brother to Cola above). This was only Syd’s first show
at the tender age of six months!
We would also like to thank Mr Shane Hughes (Ruffntuff)
for his regular help in showing our terriers.
Shane has been a great help and we wish him every success with his handling in the future.

We are a small kennel situated near to Winchester
(the ancient capital of England), Hampshire,
and can be easily located just of the M3.
We have been involved with Jack Russells and the Parson Russell Breed
for over thirty five years, with our interest beginning
even before the breed’s recognition with the Kennel Club.
Pre recognition our affix was Ripling and we enjoyed success showing
at Hunt Shows and also with the JRTCGB shows
with whom our dogs were registered.
Our terriers are carefully bred for three main attributes -
temperament, type and working ability.
Our dogs are all family pets, and any puppies
we rear are brought up within the family home.
It is very important to us that our puppies are
well socialised and healthy when leaving for their new homes.
After leaving for their new homes our dogs have accomplished
a number of roles including agility, PAT Dogs, staring in photoshoots
and adverts as well as of course show dogs and great family pets.
One of our dogs also regularly attends talks at schools and organisations
for children to help promote responsible dog ownership and safety with dogs.

As such, we are also members of
The Kennel Club’s Accredited Breeder Scheme.
This scheme promotes good breeding practice by setting
requirements that breeders must follow to encourage the
breeding of healthy well adjusted puppies.
To find out more about the scheme visit the Kennel Club's website.
We are also members of the Parson Russell Terrier Club
and have been so for many years.
We have been lucky enough to own some special terriers over the years -
in particular the foundation terriers of our present dogs,
Bullet of Ripling and Tarsia Plover of Ripling,
through to Ripling Hobby
(Winner of countless hunt championships and a great mother!)
and Ripling Revel (winner of Puppy of the Year in 1988)
and then the current day pair of Ch Riplington Sheep Shearer (Sadie)
and her daughter Riplington Royal Flush (Sophie),
who currently has two Challenge Certificates.

Some of these terriers have been winners in the show ring,
others great brood bitches or stud dogs but most importantly
they have all have been great companions

If you are interested in buying a Parson Russell Terrier,
please do ensure you research the breed thoroughly.
Whilst they are fantastic companions in the right hands,
they can also be the exact opposite when bored and not well trained!
