April 2009

At National Terrier, with Tom H Johnston judging, a successful day was achieved even if we did not actually attend the show ourselves.
Congratulations should go to Phil March who was attending his first championship show with Homstar Fergus
(Sire: Jagen Johny Riplington Dam: Ardencote Tiva)
- they achieved a second in Minor Puppy dog and have now qualified for Crufts!

Also Charlotte Slatter and Brim - Brimpton Trust (Sire: Jagen Johny Riplington Dam: Heythrop Trusty) - won Post Graduate Dog - well done to them - and Cola's Litter sister Sally (Alncroft Everlong) came second in Open Bitch and went on to win the RBCC. Well done to her owners and breeders Kate Smith and Michaela Moon!

At WELKS Championship show under breed specialist judge Mr Roger Bigland there was another amazing day.
Brim (Brimpton Trust) won Post Graduate Dog.
Cola's litter brother Tack (Alncroft Hemlock Of Morgandare) won limit dog and also RDCC

Cola herself won Open Bitch and went on to the RBCC but on this occasion they were both eclipsed by their sister Sally (Alncroft Everlong) who won the BCC and also BOB.
Congratulations to Charlotte, Jess and Carol but in particular to Kate and Michaela. What a day for them!

February 2009

We were very pleased to discover that Cola
(Ch Alncroft Tribute to Riplington)
was Dog World's and the Parson Russell Terrier Club's
Top Parson Russell Bitch in 2008. We really can't thank
Kate Smith and Michaela Moon (her breeders)
enough for letting us have such a lovely girl.

January 2009

We are sad to announce the death of our first homebred Champion, Ch Riplington Sheep Shearer (Sadie)
at thirteen years of age.

Sadie was a lovely character who was a pleasure to
have in our home, and always made us smile. She was
also both a successful show dog and a great mother.

November 2008

We are thrilled to announce that Cola
(Alncroft Tribute to Riplington) has become a champion.
She received her third ticket
and went on to Best In Show under Club President
and Breed Specialist Mr Kevin Moore at the recent
PRT Championship Show.
Our thanks and congratulations must also go to her breeders Kate Smith and Michaela Moon.
Missy (Riplington Miscue) also came third in
Post Graduate Bitch at the same show.

Sept 2008

At Richmond Championship Show at the beginning
of the month, we had another very succesful show.
Mr Alan Small was judging and he awarded Cola Best
Bitch and her second CC. Missy also came first in
Post Graduate Bitch! We were delighted!

June 2008

Cola won BOB at Three Counties
under judge Mr Mark Allen
She initially won Junior Bitch, and then went on to be awarded BB before completing the day with the BOB.
At the same show, Brim was 2nd in Puppy dog
and Missy was 4th in Post Graduate.

Please see the Our Dogs
page for a photo and further info.

We are a small kennel situated near to Wisbech in Cambridgeshire.

We have been involved with Jack Russells and the Parson Russell Breed
for over thirty five years, with our interest beginning
even before the breed’s recognition with the Kennel Club.

Pre recognition our affix was Ripling and we enjoyed success showing
at Hunt Shows and also with the JRTCGB shows
with whom our dogs were registered.

Our terriers are carefully bred for three main attributes -
temperament, type and working ability.

Our dogs are all family pets, and any puppies
we rear are brought up within the family home.

It is very important to us that our puppies are
well socialised and healthy when leaving for their new homes.

After leaving for their new homes our dogs have accomplished
a number of roles including agility, PAT Dogs, staring in photoshoots
and adverts as well as of course show dogs and great family pets.

One of our dogs also regularly attends talks at schools and organisations
for children to help promote responsible dog ownership and safety with dogs.

As such, we are also members of
The Kennel Club’s Accredited Breeder Scheme.
This scheme promotes good breeding practice by setting
requirements that breeders must follow to encourage the
breeding of healthy well adjusted puppies.
To find out more about the scheme visit the Kennel Club's website.

We are also members of the Parson Russell Terrier Club
and have been so for many years.

We have been lucky enough to own some special terriers over the years -
in particular the foundation terriers of our present dogs,
Bullet of Ripling and Tarsia Plover of Ripling,
through to Ripling Hobby
(Winner of countless hunt championships and a great mother!)
and Ripling Revel (winner of Puppy of the Year in 1988)
and then the current day pair of Ch Riplington Sheep Shearer (Sadie)
and her daughter Riplington Royal Flush (Sophie),
who currently has two Challenge Certificates.

Some of these terriers have been winners in the show ring,
others great brood bitches or stud dogs but most importantly
they have all have been great companions

If you are interested in buying a Parson Russell Terrier,
please do ensure you research the breed thoroughly.

Whilst they are fantastic companions in the right hands,
they can also be the exact opposite when bored and not well trained!

terriers or visiting our kennel, please (Contact Us)
